HERA and LUDCI.eu join forces to raise awareness of modern slavery

LUDCI.eu Editorial Team 30 Mar 2021 Uncategorized 16 Views

LUDCI.eu, Luxembourg’s Diplomacy and Communications Institute that leverages media diplomacy for social impact in Luxembourg has embarked into an important new partnership with HERA to raise awareness of modern slavery, help prevent slavery and support those who endured the injustice it brings.

HERA UK is a charity on a mission to empower women, survivors of modern slavery and exploitation, to achieve a better life, partnering with business and academic mentors. HERA’s vision is to see the transformation of survivors by providing them with the capacity and knowledge through a business and development training programme. The women that complete the HERA programme benefit from exceptional training from top university lecturers and professionals in their field.

“Working hand in hand with HERA we are committed to raising awareness that to-date over 360 women survivors of modern slavery and exploitation have received training and mentoring to pursue their interests and a successful profession”. We are excited, says Dr. Vassilia Orfanou that we have the chance to show that women in risk-countries in Eastern Europe can grow their ventures, become economically independent and employ more women to multiply the effect. To date, HERA has funded over 316 ventures and enabled over 560 jobs to be created. This is the real impact created by a single organisation!”

LUDCI.eu looks forward to the future benefits of its partnership with HERA to raise awareness of the injustice of modern slavery and increase the necessary support towards empowering survivors to take back their lives and live in freedom!
